About The Artist

ArtPixiexo also known as Nico was born and raised in the Bay Area. Growing up surrounded by amazing art and culture at a young age i've always had an interest in street art and fine art. I’m a first generation Mexican American and the oldest daughter in my family. I was born July 17th 2000 and  ever since I could remember I would experiment with anything I could get my hands on; clay, jewelry, graphic design, but painting always had a special place in my heart. I actually started with oil paint, rummaging and honesty destroying my mothers art supplies at the age of 5 or 6. Then I soon discovered acrylic paint and there my long journey of becoming an artist and what that meant to me began. 

    Now although I have been creating artwork my whole life I never thought about selling my pieces until I was about 19. When covid consumed our lives and forced us into quarantine I finally decided to face my fears of failure and stage freight. I gave it a shot. What else was there to lose? or do with my time. So May 2020 I began my art instagram which has now been through lots of different name changes. Fun fact my first instgram handle was pixiixiicrafts and now we've landed here at Art Pixie Xo.  I'm a whimsical creature at heart I guess. I hope to continue creating and reaching new heights with my imagination. But honestly i'm just a girl painting in her room at the end of the day.
